The pair are in Los Angeles currently for the awards ceremony and Abhishek ran into Hollywood star Warren Beatty at a clothes store. Narrating the encounter, Big B wrote in his blog, "Incidentally they were getting fitted at a clothes store, for the Oscars Award ceremony for Sunday - Warren and Abhishek! Ya, Abhishek and Aishwarya have been invited by the Academy to attend the Oscars on Sunday... So... (sic)"
Beatty, 73, spoke of his admiration for Amitabh, expressing his wonder at the 68-year-old veteran still being one of the busiest actors in Bollywood.
"Abhishek informs of his meeting with Warren Beatty at a store in LA, his knowledge and respect for me and my films and his wonder at me still working.
"Warren Beatty ?? Indian Films ?? Knows about Amitabh Bachchan and is in 'awe' ???!!! Hmmm... Somethings not right here !! And he actually asked for Abhishek from the store owner because he knew he was my son !! (sic)," wrote the senior Bachchan.
The 83rd Academy Awards will be held at the Kodak Theatre in Los Angeles.
