HARRY POTTER stars DANIEL RADCLIFFE, EMMA WATSON and RUPERT GRINT shed tears this year when a decade filming together came to an emotional end.
But the Hogwarts pals have had one last chance to rekindle the magic, after being called back this week to re-shoot key scenes.
It brought a smile to their faces - but Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 director DAVID YATES will be wishing he could wave a magic wand to fix a problem that could cost millions with the extra work needed at Leavesden Studios in Herts.
It's all down to dodgy make-up.
The cast for the last Potter adventure, out next summer, filmed their moving final scenes on Platform 9¾ of London's King's Cross station last April. They were made up to look 19 years older.
But when it was played back in the editing suite Harry, Ron and Hermione looked like pensioners rather than middle-aged parents.
A source said: "The cast and crew had a private giggle that the film has become Harry Potter and The Costly Hallows.
"They had all said an emotional goodbye to the filming they loved, so it was good news for them as they heard they had to come back.
"Their bosses haven't been laughing, though. They had to recreate King's Cross at Leavesden, which has been a huge expense. The professional term for the re-shoots is 'pick-ups' but everyone knows it's a bit more serious than that. It will be extremely costly."
Not that there is a shortage of cash. The Harry Potter brand is worth an estimated £7billion.
Last month's premiere of The Deathly Hallows: Part 1 was just as magical as when the cast wandered along the red carpet for the first time all those years ago.
I remember speaking to Daniel in 2003 about his love forTHE LIBERTINES, and how memories of filming 2001's The Philosopher's Stone ran alongside big Test matches in cricket.
It would be a nice send-off if his last ever day's filming coincided with England retaining The Ashes.
